26 Hours and counting untill the NHL trade deadline and some teams are already preparing.

Per TSN.CA The New York Rangers, as expected, claimed Sean Avery off re-entry waivers from the Dallas Stars. The Rangers are responsible for the final 3 years and $3.85 million cap hit per season for Avery.

Also some prominent names have hit the waiver wire. In addition to Jon Sim (which was previously reported by Chris Botta), forwards Brendan Morrison, Gary Roberts, Aaron Voros and former Islander Miroslav Satan have all been placed on waivers today.
