Uniondale, NY, April 2, 2009 – The New York Islanders announced today that tickets for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers first two home playoff games, which will be hosted at Nassau Coliseum, will go on sale tomorrow Friday, April 3rd at 10:30 am. The playoff games will be played on Friday, April 17th at 7:30pm and Saturday, April 18th at 7:00pm.

Tickets for both games will be available at: newyorkislanders.com or soundtigers.com, Islanders Team Stores (Broadway Mall and Westfield Sunrise Mall), the Nassau Coliseum Box Office, through Ticketmaster (phone and internet) or by calling 1-800-882-ISLES.. Ticket prices will range accordingly: $29 for lower VIP center seats, $19 for lower VIP corner and lower VIP end zone seats and $15 for upper bowl 300 level seats.

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers – American Hockey League affiliate of the Islanders – have a record of 45-23-3-5, giving them 98 points and placing them in a tie for second place in the East Division and Eastern Conference with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The Sound Tigers clinched a berth in the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs with a 5-3 victory against the Albany River Rats on Tuesday night.
